Wish you all Happy New Year 2022! Wish you all happy, healthy, and prosperous new year with active lifestyle. How can we welcome the new year for new beginning for success, happiness and good health?

For an active and healthy lifestyle, we must get up early in the morning. This is the hallmark of new start. Good sleep is essential so for this purpose, early to bed is essential. Benjamin Franklin said: “Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.”

We must learn to practice the good habits of great and successful people. Almost all the successful people including Narendra Modi, Richard Branson to name a few get up early in the morning. The successful people follow specific routine each and every day.

People who rise early in the morning are more energetic, active and enthusiastic according to research. Early risers go to bed early so they have enough sleep that definitely provides more energy and vitality making you easier to fulfil your goals and complete tasks in a faster and more productive manner. Sleeping well — but not late in the morning reboots your body and help to boost our immunity- the secret of our health and helps to fight infection. This is very important at this difficult time of pandemic.

Early rise will also give you more time to exercise, which is extremely important to energise your body and time to be more organised. This also gives us enough time to have healthier breakfast- not rush and grab something quick fit like things. Doing things in a relaxed manner releases stress, depression, aggression and rage and helps in respiratory related issues.

According to Ayurvedic system, positive energy increases early in the morning. Research shows that rising early can boost mood, lead to greater life satisfaction, and minimize mental health problems. There is also a link between greater well-being in older people who get up early.

Another important secret for good health is eating healthy and fully nourished food which is the best for our health. Bhagavad Gita states ‘persons in the mode of goodness prefer foods that promote the life span, and increase virtue, strength, health, happiness, and satisfaction.’ Such foods are juicy, succulent, nourishing, and naturally tasteful. Lord Krishna says: The foods that promote longevity, virtue, strength, health, happiness, and joy are juicy, smooth, substantial, and nutritious. Persons in the mode of goodness like such foods. (Bhagavad Gita 17:8)

Bhagavad Gita states for maintenance of physical health through activity and exercise. It clearly states that one cannot even maintain his body without physical exercise. Regular practice is essential to achieve our goal. It regulates our entire habit and becomes our culture. Regular study, regular saving and regular work takes you to the height of success rather than a haphazardous lazy life.

Doing yoga and meditation is the perfect beginning of the day as it fully boost your energy and make you energetic throughout the day. It helps in physical, mental and emotional wellbeing and makes you creative, active and focused on your goal for a longer period of time. Yoga improves strength, balance and flexibility, helps with back pain relief, can ease arthritis symptoms, benefits heart health, relaxes you, to help you sleep better, can mean more energy and brighter moods, helps you manage stress, promotes better self-care, connects you with a supportive community.

Meditation is perfect way for healthy life style. Scientific research proves that anxiety, asthma, depression, high blood pressure, heart disease, sleep problem, stress, headaches among others can be cured through meditation. At least a few minutes meditation will be like an amulet for our well-being.

With new year, let’s begin a new regular routine to live a happy, healthy and prosperous life. We should not forget to do exercise, yoga, meditation, eat healthy food, walk or run, read or write and be creative at all times. Lethargic and luxurious lifestyle is dangerous to our life, so let’s make a commitment to be dynamic at all time.
